UTLITY EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Paramount Construction LLC is currently seeking an excavator operator with utility experience and experience with excavation within the road. Paramount Construction LLC is a full-service excavation / utility / electrical contractor located in Newington, CT. Paramount has served the state, municipalities, local utility companies, contractors, and developers for the past 16 years on and including prevailing wage rate projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Operate an excavator between 20,000lb to 50,000lb
• Operate rubber tire excavators is not mandatory but experience is preferred
• Operate within road right of ways, around existing utilities and within existing traffic
• Operate for and around water mains, sewers, drainage and electric ducts/conduits
• Knowledge of trench safety and shoring
• Proficient at digging efficiently and loading tri-axles within road right of ways
• Reliable, safety conscious and willingness to follow instructions

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of experience being a mainline excavator operator. Hoisting license / certification preferred but not required OSHA trained or able to be trained within 30 days High school diploma / GED preferred Clean Drug / Background screening upon hiring Knowledge of construction safety and heavy equipment Valid driver’s license

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
• Excavator: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• CDL A (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Hartford County, CT: Relocate before starting work (Required)
